Umineko EP5 ~ Witch Hunt patch 27/12/2009

Witch Hunt is proud to announce that the new patch for Umineko no Naku Koro ni Chiru is available!

The new patch completely covers Episode 5, End of the golden witch. You can get it with the following links (mediafire, Rapidshare as a mirror link):

Please be sure to check the NEW readme file as some specific points must be taken in account for the full use of the patch (some updated points for Chiru).

Log of the recent changes
-Episode 5, full translation
-Mute sound feature by pressing “m” key (undocumented on the readme)

Note that due to circumstances that weren’t under our control, we decided to postpone the grimoire document for this release. We will certainly add these for our update of Episode 5 along with a compatible version for Episode 6. Thank you for your understanding.

Vista and Windows 7 users: Please remember that the installer will fail at installing several tracks. So please manually copy the following 4 music files after installing.

as usual, please always check the number of tracks and their titles compared to the ones on the disc.

There have been issues with the patch so this should solve them:

Alright, we figured out what was the problem regarding the save state.
Please download this updated nscript and overwrite the old one.

This should fix the music check and also the save state issue.
Links of the full patch packages are being updated right now (RS one is done, but MF is acting extremely slowly right now)

If anyone has lost a lot of progress due to a bad save, feel free to use this file to unlock the chapter select:
